Okay I am WAAAAY behind on blogging. I totally get it. But be kind. October, November, and December for a photographer is a bit like April for an accountant (and it’s super fun when you have both of those professions in one house). I just got in from a chilly session and decided the best way to warm up was to throw back to an awesome session we did with Nina early this fall. Ok first thing to know is that Nina is a competitive dancer who plans to study dance and psychology in college. The second thing to know is that she is one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. And third…third is that she is DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS.
Nina is really into the country/rural look, and wanted a more rustic feel for her senior photos. Luckily for me she had the best idea for a location. She used to go to summer camp at Canterbury Shaker Village and it held such great memories for her, so she knew pretty early on that she wanted to focus her session there. She had some great outfits she brought along, and paired up with the buildings and scenery – she just popped. Take a look at some of our favorites:
What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to help children who have a tough life build a better future. I would also like to work at Disney World as Princess Jasmine. (Photographer’s Note: Yup. Pretty sure you’d get that job in a heartbeat).
What has been your favorite high school memory so far?
My favorite memory in high school so far has been when my school hosted a unified basketball jamboree, and I was able to participate in it.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as kind and fun loving.
What is your favorite fashion trend?
Pairing ripped jeans with low cut booties.
What do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as someone who made a difference in someone’s life, even if it’s just one person. (ME TOO ME TOO!!!)
Senior year can be soooooo busy – how do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time dancing or spending time with my family and friends.
What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is “Do it big, do it right, and do it with style.” -Fred Astaire.
Nina – you did Fred Astaire proud with your senior photo session. You absolutely brought it and I had such a fantastic time photographing you!
If your school has a later cutoff date for your senior photos and you haven’t taken them yet – or maybe you didn’t like the way they turned out – you still have time to book a session with me! Give me a call or email carey@careyhoughphotography.com and let’s get you some photos you will absolutely LOVE!
